The worst manga artist with the most confidence

Izumi is, first and foremost, a sheltered teenager. Being the youngest child in a family full of successful idols, he's grown up with money and protection. His big brother dotes on him, and their live-in assistant is much like a second mother, always ready to protect and jump to his aid when he truly needs it. This has stopped him from learning most domestic skills. Before his acting debut, he isn't very social either. Thanks to an incident that happened during his first acting job at the young age of five, not only had he given up on show business all together, he'd developed into something akin to a reclusive. Going to college, he really does seem to only interact with his family and those at in the manga research club. Romance seemed to be something he had never focused on outside the character of his favorite manga, Lala-Lulu.
He does work very hard toward his goals. Despite having no talent for art, Izumi spends a lot of time working on his manga in order to enter it into a contest, sure he's going to win. This meant falling asleep in class and staying locked up in his room, but he never minded.
Izumi is also very close to portions of his family. His mother and father aren't the most doting of parents, but his brother cares for him with a passion, and Rei (the live-in assistant) really does seem to treat him like his child. Because of this, even without real friends, Izumi has someone he can depend on.
Over time, Izumi began to change. First, his romance with Ryouma seemed to change him. Not only did he notice how selfish he was being in always counting on him for help, he also began to really learn about relationships, going from reactive to active. In this time, he realized he didn't just have to go sit back and uke, he could seme (this isn't my own opinion; Izumi read manga to learn about relationships and uses the words himself).
He also became a very popular actor very quickly. Thanks to helping his mother learn lines as a child, and his cute looks, the camera seemed to love him. Role after role began to pour in, and his skill was so great that even veteran Ryouma became momentarily intimidated. With this newfound praise became newfound confidence, and gone was the kid who needed help even making it through the scene.
As the series nears its end, Izumi has both changed and remained the same. He sill plans to work hard for his manga, he's still sheltered and emotional and hyper, but he's also more able to say what's on his mind, and more willing to take the reigns in his relationship. Slowly, he's growing and maturing.
appearance
Small and compact, Izumi can look younger than his 18 years of age. His blond hair frame his face and is slightly long, almost touching his back in the longest parts. 
His eyes are his most noticeable feature. Though they're mostly amber, the tops are rounded off with a prominent blue color. This is all the more obvious for their large size, and isn't hidden even by the large glasses he normally wears.
